The Beginning:
PowerLearning21.com launched in September of 2008 with the intent on changing the way teachers and students interact via the internet. Its goals were to expand the way students and the general public could educate themselves in an inexpensive way as well as provide additional income for teachers and educators across the nation. The interactive community environment that PL21 has created pulls from the life blood of passionate teachers and eager-to-learn students from across the world to create a really intriguing concept. PL21 thrives on the fact that teachers will always want to teach, students will always want to learn, and the continually cluttering market of free video content will in time be too difficult to search for quality material.
Development:
PL21’s development began with a complete redesign of its website. The new site has a web 2.0 look and feel. It is easier to navigate, read, and is very user friendly. In addition, improvements were made with the upload process, teacher account centers, and video experience for students. It has improved browser upload reliability, sort and delete functions, video count display and much much more!
The Future:
During the final week of February 2010, the Board of Directors for www.PowerLearning21.com met in Pittsburgh, Pa. to discuss plans for the future of the paid video content site. They have begun developing new tools to make the PL21 platform the best on the web. Whether you are an educator looking to sell videos online for a supplementary income, a business owner moving your video into e-commerce or an individual looking to monetize your current online video, PowerLearning21.com is going to help you get there.
How much instructional music video content do you currently have?
I am a teacher of guitar and violin. I want to create a series of videos to sell on line. If I submit a vido what is the maximum length? What do you charge for watching the video? What do I earn? Do you have exclusive rights to my material? Can I talk to someone by email or by phone to learn more about it?
